After looking for returnables along Route 14 in Bethel, Vt., on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, Arthur King, of Randolph Center, Vt., heads home for lunch. "I pick up where I know there's going to be some," he said. King has found all sorts of things on the side of the road, including the hat he was wearing, but it is returnable cans he is after.
