Granite United Way Offers Free Tax Assistance for Those Earning Less than $51,000 Yearly

Get your dancin’ shoes on — it’s the weekend! For many of you, the work week’s end is in sight and you’re looking forward to a night out with friends or time well spent with family. So, with all of that in mind, I’m sure you’re in the mood to talk about ... taxes?

Perhaps that doesn’t sound so thrilling. But how about getting your taxes done for free, if you bring home a salary of less than $51,000 a year?

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, an initative of the Granite United Way, announced today that volunteers would provide free tax preparation services to people to people who live or work in the Upper Valley and meet certain requirements, like the $51,000 maximum annual salary.

Appointments are available on Thursdays from Feb. 7 through April 11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in White River Junction and Lebanon. Call 2-1-1 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
