Letter: Bravery and Grace on Display

To the Editor:

I would like to acknowledge and thank the DeMond family for their bravery and grace as they shared their heartbreak (“Ashley’s Story,” Sunday Valley News, June 23). I am so sorry that Ashley struggled so hard in spite of all they were trying to do for her and with her.

Thank you to Valley News for covering this and hopefully beginning a more open conversation about the mental health crisis for teenagers and the lack of local affordable care in the Upper Valley.
