Letter: Ignore Republican Propaganda

To the Editor:

As for Obamacare, check it out yourself. Don’t be fooled by Republican propaganda from such people as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly and the Fox News team. The people who sign up for Obamacare are not the losers. That will be the Republican Party, which has been receiving campaign cash and extra pocket money from the insurance companies. As for Limbaugh and O’Reilly going after the poor, how much do they make telling lies? Millions a year.

I wonder who’s responsible for people needing food stamps and welfare because they can’t survive on minimum-wage part-time jobs that pay $7.50 an hour? Try paying for your $800-a-month rent, gas and food on those kind of wages. Let’s see: $7.50 x 30 hours = $225 before taxes. Then calculate the extra expenses involved in supporting a family of three or four.

As for closing the national parks — that was a situation created by the Republican Congress. Sarah Palin, Sen. Ted Cruz, Michele Bachman and the head of the Republican Party went to the veterans memorial to rile up our veterans and to blame someone else for its closing. At that time, 500,000 government workers had been furloughed without pay — a hardship none of the Republican agitators had to deal with.
