Letter: Support the Montshire

To the Editor:

The Montshire Museum of Science is an Upper Valley gem, offering joyful learning experiences to children, families and adults, while supporting the quality of life in our whole region. The Montshire is one of a small minority of science centers nationwide that does not receive any state or local tax support for its operations. That means that we rely on charitable contributions and the generosity of local individuals to support the museum’s educational mission.

Sept. 30 marks the end of our fiscal year and our deadline for contributions to The Montshire Fund. We encourage you to make a gift today and help us fully fund the museum’s operations. Every gift really does make a difference. Donations to The Montshire Fund support virtually everything we do, from exhibit experiences to after-school programs to scholarships and free passes for families in need. Give by Sept. 30 to help us meet this year’s budget and prepare the museum for a new year of exceptional programming for your friends and neighbors. And when you choose a donor-level membership, you’ll be able to visit “A T. Rex Named Sue” at the museum next summer! Thank you in advance for your support.
