Letter: Re-Examine That Fateful Day

To the Editor:

America has been in a very dark place for many years. Washington, D.C., has created political conditions that involve the clear abuse of power. Massive surveillance, indefinite detention and even torture and targeted assassination have become routine. The justification is always the same — the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

Given the seminal importance of the events of that day in September 2001, closer examination of what happened should be mandatory. For quite some time, a very large number of architects and engineers (AE911truth.org) have insisted that the towers were brought down by explosives in a controlled demolition. If their knowledgeable opinion were given proper consideration, justification for these government actions might require serious revision.

It just might be that sanity, the rule of law and our very survival depends on it.
