Letter: Team Effort Down by the River

To the Editor:

My company, Great River Outfitters, undertakes river cleanups several times every year. Recently, I was approached by the leader of a local church youth group, and we discovered that we shared the common goal of wanting to better our environment. The youth group wanted to perform its own river cleanup with its young leaders, and we are thrilled to help them accomplish this.

One of the goals of the youth ministry of the New Apostolic Church is to create an environment in which young people can connect with each other and with Christ while effecting positive change in themselves as well as the world around them. We are combining forces to attain a better result. Through serving others, the young people are able to make a difference and experience the love of God. They are happy to lend helping hands where hands are needed, and we are happy to facilitate that!

Today, Great River Outfitters will guide and assist this youth group in a cleanup at Sumner Falls in Hartland and along the Connecticut River. We look forward to the opportunity to work together as a team to help clean up our beautiful river and the environment around it.
