Letter: Operation Day’s Work

To the Editor:

Operation Day’s Work is a student-run organization that helps raise money for the Selamta Family Project. Last year, we were able to raise almost $6,000 for the project, and it was the community’s generosity that made it possible.

Each year, Operation Day’s Work raises money by inviting community members to employ high school students. The money earned by students goes directly to the Selamta Family Project. This organization is based in Ethiopia, a country which has been ravaged by the AIDS pandemic, and it provides permanent homes for orphans. It is run by local community member Carol Foster.

If you would like to support Operation Day’s Work, please consider employing students for our workday on May 8 from 8:15 a.m. to noon. For more information, please email us at hanoverODW@gmail.com.

Thank you again for all of your support.
