Letter: Undeterred by Presence of Guns
To the Editor:
With the killing of prosecutors in Texas and police officers in a police station in Jackson, Miss., I don’t see how there can be much confidence in following the National Rifle Association’s proposal to arm school personnel as a way of protecting children. Clearly, those intent on using guns to kill are not dissuaded by the known presence of weapons in locations in which they intend to commit murder. It would appear that more comprehensive solutions are needed.
