Explaining Election Results

To the Editor:

Radio commentator Rush Limbaugh said that Mitt Romney lost because 3 million white voters didn’t vote. He says they thought the Republican candidate was too liberal. I thought it was because 11 percent more women for voted for Barack Obama. So did 34 percent more young voters, 91 percent of the black vote, 90 percent of the gay vote, 72 percent of the Asian vote and 71 percent of the Latino vote. The cost of the campaign equaled $17.11 per voter.

I don’t know what will become of the Republican Party. We need two parties. Three would be even better. But we can say goodbye to the big Republican stalwarts: Karl Rove, Charles, David and William Koch, Sheldon Adelson, Harold Simmons, Bob J. Perry, Robert Rowling, Donald Trump and all those hiding behind American Crossroads. The Red Cross just announced it does not have enough money to send aid to Syria and Haiti. Maybe those named above would like to consider the Red Cross for their next donations?
