Letter: Time for a New Phrase
To the Editor:
Absent Barbara Walters, famous for interviewing the man who shot Reagan because that man wanted to be famous, it’s time the media served us better than the meaningless phrase “climate change.” In its place, the media should report what is happening: Humans are ruining the environment supporting life. People are destroying the Earth’s capacity to sustain life.
Such a diction shift, along with being more accurate than the absurd current phraseology which says only what has always been true — that the climate, like the weather, is variable — might help save us all.
