Letter: That Was Our Car

To the Editor:

The 1938 photograph (Calendar, Jan. 23) of a car crushed by a fallen tree was our family car. We lived in a Hanover apartment building known then as Thayer Lodge. It still exists on the corner of South Park Street and Valley Road across from Outreach House. My father parked the car there every night, and we came out one morning to discover the damage.
