Jeanette M. Zapp
White River Jct., Vt. — Jeanette M. Zapp, 89, formerly of Brick, N.J., died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at Brookside Nursing Home in White River Jct.
She was born May 5, 1924, in Newark, N.J., a daughter of Michael and Concetta (Liguori) DeFeo.
She married Robert Forshee in 1950, divorced in 1959, and then married Edward Zapp in 1963. She moved to Brick in 1965, and helped to start the family business, BCSI, in 1970. She lived independently on Lake Shore Dr. in Brick after the death of Edward Zapp in 1988 until October, 2012, and thereafter resided at the Brookside Nursing Home in White River Junction.
She is survived by her son Robert Forshee Jr. and his wife Sharon of Grafton, N.H; granddaughters Darlene, Danielle, Marianne and Gabrielle; a brother Michael DeFeo, Jr. of Manchester, N.J.; and a sister Josephine Styles of Melbourne, Fla.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony’s Church at 11 a.m. Burial will be Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m., in Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River, N.J.
