Malcolm D. Wing

Brookfield, N.H. — Malcolm D. Wing (Mac), age 85, of Brookfield, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013.

Malcolm was born March 5, 1928 in Hanover, N.H. He graduated from Orford High School and received his degree in accounting from Hesser Business College, Manchester, N.H. He resided in Londonderry from 1952 until moving to Wolfeboro in 1999.

Malcolm was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Mary (DeGoosh) Wing.

Malcolm worked as an accountant for John G. Drayton Company, Morse Batchelder Studebaker and Amoskeag Bank in Manchester. He served for many years on the board of selectmen in Londonderry. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as the accountant for the town of Londonderry. After his move to Wolfeboro, he served as treasurer of Birch Hill Estates until 2010. He enjoyed driving for Miller/Trites Automotive, volunteering for the Wolfeboro Chamber of Commerce and Huggins Hospital. He was a 50-year member of the First Congregational Church, UCC, Manchester, N.H. While in Wolfeboro, he attended the First Congregational Church.

Malcolm is survived by his loving daughters, Deborah and her husband, James Manning, and Barbara and her husband, Stephen Curtis, of Brookfield; his grandchildren Jennifer and William Wolforth, Bethany and Benjamin Fitch, Maryl and Denis Arsenault, Bridget Manning, Michael Manning, and Kate and George Barber; as well as great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Erin, Michael, and Mary Wolforth, Alexis and Kahlan Fitch, and Adelyn and Owen Arsenault; and many nieces and nephews.

Malcolm is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Esther Wing; his brother, Leonard Wing; and sisters Ramona Wing Dennis, and Lorraine Wing Bryant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Friends of Wolfeboro Community Bandstand, P O Box 2055, Wolfeboro 03894. The family of Malcolm Wing wishes to thank Grace Magazini, and staff at Bellamy Fields for their loving care during his illness.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. at 11 a.m., at All Saints Episcopal Church, Wolfeboro, N.H. Visiting hours are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Lord Funeral Home, Wolfeboro. Burial will be on Sunday, Nov. 3, at Glenwood Cemetery, Londonderry, N.H. at 1 p.m. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lord Funeral Home, Wolfeboro, N.H.
