Elizabeth “Libby” Brodeur
Penacook, N.H. — Elizabeth “Libby” Brodeur, 89, of Penacook died on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Presidential Oaks in Concord. Libby was born in Concord the daughter of Leo & Sadie (Lanigan) Landrigan. She was a lifelong resident of the Penacook-Concord area attending St. Johns School in Concord and graduating with the class of 1940.
Libby was a homemaker raising her family in Penacook. She went to work for the Beede Electrical Company in Penacook after her children had grown where she was a dedicated employee for 15 years until her retirement in 1985.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Penacook. Libby was an avid reader enjoying many books throughout her life, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing BINGO with family and friends. A favorite pastime was to spend time and appreciate her family at the family camp on Mascoma Lake in Enfield. For a the past year Libby had been living at the John H. Whittiker Place in Penacook, making many new friends and involving herself in the many activities the home assists with.
Libby was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Edgar Brodeur in 2006; and her sister Florence Brodeur in 2012.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Parsons & her husband Roland of Exeter; two sons, Robert Brodeur of Concord, Thomas Brodeur & his wife Kathleen of Enfield; two grandchildren Elizabeth Brodeur-Smart of Ft. Stewart, Ga., Carl Savard of Clayton, N.C.; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Leo Landrigan of Concord; cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday Oct. 29, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 9 Bonney Street, Penacook. Interment will immediately follow in Calvary Cemetery in Penacook.
