James L. Saucier
Claremont, N.H. — James L. Saucier, 64, of Twistback Road in Claremont, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at his home following a sudden illness. He was born in Claremont on April 19, 1949, the son of Louis and Margaret (Gadreau) Saucier and had been a lifetime Claremont resident.
He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1967. Jim then attended the University of New Hampshire for 3 years and also attended Georgia Tech for 1 year studying surveying. He was a former member of the St. Mary Cavaliers. James had been employed as a truck driver by the City of Claremont before he was forced to retire due to a disability.
Members of his family include his mother, Margaret Deyo, Claremont; a sister, Jean Lucarelli and her husband, Jeff, of Claremont; three brothers, Richard Saucier and his wife, Carol of Tucson, Ariz., Denis Saucier and his wife, Bonnie of Winter Spring, Fla., Steve Saucier and his wife, Joanie, of Raleigh, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Louis Saucier and his step-father, Lawrence Deyo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday in St. Joseph’s Church with the Rev. George Majka, pastor, officiating. Committal services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
