Ramona S. Truell
Croydon, N.H. — Ramona S. Truell, 71, of Croydon Turnpike Road, passed away at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Monday night, June 17, 2013 following a short battle with cancer.
Mona was born in Newport, N.H., May 3, 1942, daughter to the late Norman Francis and Barbara Gertrude(Blanchard) Page. She grew up and was educated in Croydon and Newport but finally earned her GED in the mid 70’s. Mona was a homemaker but also worked at Violette’s and ran her own greenhouse business called Hometown Gardens. She was a longtime member of the Unity Beagle Club and a member of the Croydon Good Neighbors Club. She served on the Croydon School Board and belonged to the Croydon Flat Church and participated in many Croydon town activities.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ivan A. Truell, of Croydon; her two sons, Allen Truell and his wife, Maria, of Yorktown, Ind., Keith Truell, of Orlando, Fla.; her grandson, Brian of Yorktown; her sisters, Bonnie Page, of Hadley, Mass., Kathy Page, of East Walpole, Mass.; sister-in-law, Donna Page, of Sunapee; brother-in-law, Elroy Truell, Sr., of Claremont; sister-in-law, Lynda Young, of Charlestown; brother-in-law, Michael Truell and his wife, Joanne, of Newport; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her brother, Leroy Page; her father and mother-in-law, Roy, Jr. and Jeannine (Goyettte) Truell.
Friends may call on the family from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday evening June 21 at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street in Newport, N.H. 03773.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Croydon Flat Church with burial to follow at the Croydon Flat Cemetery on Camel Hump Road with Rev. Donna Leslie officiating.
