Marian A. Morse
Grafton, N.H. — Marian A. (Bixby) Morse, 66, formerly of Prescott Hill Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Lebanon Genesis Healthcare where she had resided for the past two years.
She was born in N. Andover, Mass. on Dec. 19, 1946, the daughter of Walter I. and Celia (Silloway) Bixby. Marian lived in Danbury for many years before moving to Grafton in 1982.
An active member of the community, Marian was Town Welfare Officer from 1994-2011 and served on the Planning Board for eight years. She had also served as auditor and moderator.
She was a member of Blazing Star Grange for 43 years. Marian was active in the Crafter’s Club, the Garden Club and the Farmers Market. She enjoyed arts and crafts and baking. She was a member of the South Danbury Christian Church.
Her husband, Robert A. Morse, Sr., died in 2001. She was also predeceased by a son-in-law, Jeffrey Lambert. Members of her family surviving include three sons, Robert A. and his wife, Julie Morse, Jr. of West Lebanon, N.H., Brian E. Morse of Campton, N.H., Keary A. Morse and his partner, James Martin of Grafton; a daughter, Teresa Lambert of Meriden, N.H.; six grandchildren, Angela, Dawn, Jessica, Hunter, Katrina and Isabella; one great granddaughter, Aniah; and her best friend, Phyllis Taylor of New London, N.H.
Friends may call at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
A graveside service will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Grafton in the spring.
