Nancy L. Blain
Enfield, N.H. — Nancy L. Blain, 81, passed away quietly Sunday, July 6, 2014, in the comfort of her home. Nancy was born in Colebrook, N.H. to the late William Patrick & Avis Fayone (Prince) O’Mare.
Nancy graduated from Colebrook Academy, Valedictorian. She began working as the Colebrook Town Clerk following graduation and later retired from Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital. She met Richard Blain and later married him on Aug. 30, 1963. She worked on the Enfield Fast Squad, was an active member of the Enfield Methodist Church.
She was an accomplished pianist. Nancy was passionate about the North Country, quilting and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Richard Blain, two sons Bruce Blain and Brian Blain, a sister Fayone Cavanaugh and a brother Stanley “Skip” Covell, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours, a private burial will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Enfield Methodist Church or a charity of one’s choice.
