Marian Evalyn Strout Northrup
Norwich, Conn. — Marian E. (Evie) Strout Northrup died peacefully and unexpectedly at her home in Norwich on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at the age of 62.
She was born at home in Lyme, N.H. to Gerald and Elizabeth Strout, Aug. 3, 1951.
Marion is survived by her daughter, April Waters of Wells River, Vt.; her granddaughters, Tiffany and Jessie Waters; her brothers, Harley Strout, No. Hartland, Vt., James Strout, Orford, N.H., Gene Strout, Washington, Vt.; and her sister, Rose Rivera, Norwich, Conn.; nieces, nephews, cousins and Aunts.
She is predeceased by her parents and brothers, Francis and Leslie Strout.
Her greatest love was her bible study ministry as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, an association with the Preston, Conn. Congregation. She also enjoyed playing guitar, singing and listening to country music and crocheting.
She worked at several restaurants, stores and as a housekeeper at several locations in the Upper Valley, Stowe area and most recently as a caregiver for the elderly in Norwich, Conn.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at the Woodsville, N.H. Kingdom Hall and sent via radio to the Preston, Conn. Congregation. Burial will follow later at the Highland Cemetery in Lyme, N.H.
