John E. Weber
Croydon, N.H. — John E. Weber, 76, of Croydon Turnpike Road, passed at his home, Thursday, May 8, 2014, surrounded by his family following a lengthy battle with cancer.
John was born in Glen Cove, N.Y. on Feb. 10, 1938, son of the late Philip Sr., and Margaret (Bauch) Weber. He grew up in Croydon and has remained a lifelong resident. He married Rita Mae (Stone) on Feb. 4, 1967, sharing 47 years together. For 37 years he worked as an engineer for the State of N.H. He loved the outdoors, taking long walks in the woods, hunting and target shooting.
He is survived by his wife, Rita, of Croydon; his daughter, Addy Williams (Michael Vanasse) of Wilder, Vt.; his son, Al Lancy (Judy) of Winchester, N.H.; a sister, Margaret Carman of Fla.; seven grandchildren including Kevin Williams and Hailey Vanasse; and many great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Philip Weber, Jr.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at the Putnam Cemetery on Pinnacle Road in Croydon.
