Davina C. Dana

Etna, N.H. — Davina C. Dana, 94, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014. She was born on Nov. 11, 1919, to the late David & Jeanie (Thorburn) Croall. Davina graduated from Hanover High School in 1937 and later from Plymouth State College. She taught in Henniker, Ossipee and Groveton. Davina was married on Oct. 14, 1951, to Elmer Dana; he predeceased her in 1987. They made their home on the MooseAyr Farm. She was active in the Etna community, a member of the Ladies Aid Society where she managed their rummage sales. She was also a member of the N.H. Farm Bureau and sponsored her nephews in 4-H.

She is survived by her nephews John Robes of Seattle, Wash., Peter Robes of Franklin, N.C., Dana Robes of St. John; nieces Jeanie McLaughlin of Lincoln, N.H. and Judith Boulet of Landaff and the Fraser family.

She was predeceased by siblings Donald Croall, Agnes Reed, Jessie Hodge, Dean Croall and Archabald Croall.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral will be held at the Etna Baptist Church in Etna, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.
