Donald W. Barton, Jr.

Grantham, N.H. — Donald W. Barton, Jr., 63, of Rt. 10, died at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., April 14, 2014, following a heart attack.

Donald was born in Newport, N.H., Aug. 3, 1950, son of the late Donald Walter, Sr. and Leila K. (Sanborn) Barton. He grew up in Grantham educated at the Village School and graduated in the Class of 1968 from Lebanon High. He was employed at the Grantham Mobile/Circle K for over 23 years and was a volunteer firefighter for over 40 years. He loved country music, and deep sea fishing.

He is survived by his sisters: Donna Beaulieu and her husband, Norman, of Grantham, Debbie Dufresne and her husband, Larry, of unity; two brothers: Doug and his wife, Judy, of Newport, David and his wife, Jane, of Grantham; and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014, at Memorial Cemetery, Learning Drive in Grantham.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for all their help and support and also to New London Hospital and Staff, especially Christine Dube for the care Donald received.
