Martin William Rose
Charlestown, N.H. — Martin William Rose, 81, of Charlestown, formerly of Quincy, Mass. passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, April 14, 2014, at the White River Junction VA Hospital after a long battle with heart disease. Born July 9, 1932, in Orleans, N.Y., he is predeceased by his wife Phyllis Rose, youngest son Martin W. Rose Jr (Buzzy), daughter Nancy Mitchell, and brothers Gordon and Roland Rose.
Martin joined the Army in 1949 where he served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952.
He is survived by a sister, Marjorie Conger; his children, Marty Pauze of Ormand Beach, Fla., Susan Stallings of Charlotte, N.C., William Rose of Charlestown, Roger Rose of Gwynn Island, Va., Laurie Ingalls of Thetford, Vt., Deanna Lyons of Carver, Mass., Mark Rose of West Lebanon, N.H., Tammy Raymond of Quincy, Mass., Stephen Rose of West Lebanon and Kelly Stirling of Weymouth, Mass.; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Martin and Phyllis Rose will be laid to rest together in a small private ceremony at the West Lebanon cemetery on Saturday April 19, 2014, at 2 p.m.
