Robert N. Earle

Plymouth, Vt. — Robert N. Earle, 85, died at his home in Plymouth on Saturday, March 29, 2014, surrounded by family.

Robert was born on Feb. 19, 1929, in Bridgewater, Vt. the son of Clifford and Vera (Furman) Earle.

Robert went to school in Bridgewater and graduated from Woodstock High School in 1947. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict from 1954 to 1956. He returned home to Plymouth and worked a number of years on the family farm. In 1964, Robert went to work as a Plumber for R. E. Morgan & Son of Woodstock, retiring in 1994

Robert was a charter member of the Bridgewater Snow Zippers and enjoyed snowmobiling. He had a great passion for the history of Plymouth and Bridgewater and felt very connected to the land. He felt most comfortable working and gardening around his home and sharing his joy of the land with his family.

Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen M. (Laferriere) Earle of Plymouth; his four children, Ted Earle of Plymouth, Cindy Earle of Perkinsville, Vt., Becky Sebeth of Plymouth, and Donna Fuller of Mary D, Pa.; his five grandchildren, Andy, Bill, Dan, Kelly, and Shayne; and six great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his two brothers, Ernest and Carroll Earle; and three sisters, Florence Frost, Marilyn Blodgett, and Naida Geno. He is also pre deceased by a grandson, Mike.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a service of remembrance at 7:30 p.m. at the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock, Vt. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Those wishing may make memorial donation to VNA Hospice of VT & NH or to the Plymouth Historical Society.
