Willard E. “Bill” Jones

Leesburg, Fla. — Willard E. “Bill” Jones passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014.

He is survived by his beloved wife Suzanne after 59 years of marriage; sisters, Madelyn (Jim) Johnson, Nancy (Walt) Pyer of West Lebanon, N.H.; sons, Robert (David) of Sonoma, Calif., Douglas (Carolina) of West Hartford, Conn.; daughter, Elizabeth Seebach of Holmen, Wis.; granddaughters, Kelsey Jones, Mallory Jones, Rachel Seebach; step grandsons, Ryan Brunoli, Jason Brown, Kyle Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

Willard grew up in West Lebanon, N.H., the son of Harry and L. Gertrude Jones. He had a lifelong passion for knowledge and learning as well as a lifelong love of music. He played violin from 3rd grade, in the high school orchestra as well as in the Univ. of New Hampshire Orchestra. He attended Dartmouth College and graduated with high honors from the Univ. of New Hampshire. He was a computer systems analyst for the Travelers Insurance Company and lived in Enfield, Conn. for 40 years before retiring to Leesburg 14 years ago. He had a gentle compassionate spirit and helped others until the very end.

A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 14, 2014, in Leesburg.
