Walpole, N.H. -- James B. Hogan, 87, of Walpole, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, at the Veterans Affairs hospital in White River Junction.

Pauline R. Haas

Cornish -- Pauline R. Haas, 91, formerly of Cornish Flat, died yesterday, Oct. 21, 2006, at the Lebanon Center of Genesis Eldercare after a long, brave struggle with osteoporosis, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.

Zigmund J. Szczerba

Wilder -- Zigmund J. Szczerba, 87, a resident of Valley Terrace in Wilder, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center after a brief illness.

James A. Currie

Charlestown -- James A. Currie, 71, of Old Claremont Road in Charlestown, died Thursday, Oct. 19, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center following a period of failing health.

New London -- Catherine F. Edmunds, 78, who served many years as chief financial officer for Cricenti's Markets, died at her Old Main Street home yesterday, Oct. 22, 2006.

Orford -- Robert Quackenbush, 81, died at the Veterans Affairs hospital in White River Junction Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, after an extended illness.

Norwich -- Bartlett Frost Miller, 49, died as the result of an accident on Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, in Lebanon.

Hartland -- Nancy D. Sammel, 47, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Weathersfield -- Paul L. McCormick, 79, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Barre, Vt. -- Arlene R. “Gram” Brink, 72, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph.

Lebanon -- William Randolph (Randy) Brackett, 79, of West Lebanon, died after a long illness yesterday with his family present at his home in Quail Hollow.

Littleton, Colo. -- Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” (Wing) Melendy, 82, died in her sleep on Sept. 28, 2006.

Lempster, N.H. -- Marcelle Rita Witham, 84, of Lempster, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at her home.

Claremont -- The Rev. Ronald Prescott Prinn, 76, of Claremont, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor.
