Truckee, Calif. -- Lua Abigail Ameden, 24, died May 3, 2006, in a ski accident in Truckee. She was doing the thing she loved, with the man she loved, in the place she wanted to be.

Lebanon -- George E. Austin Jr., 82, a lifelong area resident, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at the Lebanon Center of Genesis ElderCare. He was a seven-year survivor of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Hanover -- Gladyce L. Amidon, 91, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center after a brief illness. She had resided the last few years at Wheelock Terrace in Hanover.
