Windsor -- Gretchen O. Benoit, 90, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Mt. Ascutney Hospital. Knight Funeral Home in Windsor is handling arrangements. A complete obituary will be published at a later date.

Plainfield -- Vera Hill MacLeay, 85, of Plainfield died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at her home.

Windsor -- Gretchen O. Benoit, 90, a lifelong resident of Windsor, died on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at the skilled-nursing facility of Mount Ascutney Hospital and Health Center.

Dale Camara

Peacham, Vt. -- Dale Camara, 56, who performed on the French horn with area groups and worked in two Upper Valley school systems during a career of nearly 30 years of teaching music, died on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007.

West Windsor -- David Taylor Dugdale Sr., 76, of West Windsor, died on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

Peter Y. Flanagan

White River Junction -- Peter Y. Flanagan, 80, a former Upper Valley car dealer and an early supporter and longtime volunteer for the Upper Valley Haven, died of Alzheimer's disease on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at Genesis Healthcare in Lebanon.

Randolph -- Mary L. Forrest, 76, a Randolph resident for more than 55 years, died yesterday, Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Gifford Medical Center.

Robert H. Leavitt

Lebanon -- Robert Hayes Leavitt, 85, a fourth-generation Lebanon resident and city historian, died on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2007, at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital's extended care unit.

Williamsburg, Va. -- Elva Mikula, 77, who served as Kimball Union Academy's first field hockey coach and in many other roles during her husband's 15 years as headmaster of the school, died in her native Williamsburg on Dec. 4, 2007.

West Lebanon -- Valerie T. (Cilley) Morrison, 56, died at her home at Quail Hollow on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007.

Keene, N.H. -- R. Gilman “Gil” Stockwell, 78, a resident of Newport, N.H., for most of his life, died on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Cheshire Medical Center, following a sudden illness.

North Haverhill -- Wayne Hial Tyler, a retired Army specialist, first class, died on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, after a brief illness.

South Pomfret -- George W. Clark, 62, of South Pomfret, died on Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

William G. “Bill” Clark

Northfield, Vt. -- William G. “Bill” Clark, 89, a Dartmouth College graduate who farmed in Orford for almost 30 years, died at Mayo Nursing Home on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, from complications of pneumonia.

Loudon, N.H. -- Beverly J. Melendy, 77, a native and former longtime resident of Claremont, died on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at Concord Hospital.

Randolph -- Reginald M. Paquet, 60, of Randolph, died on Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Gifford Medical Center.

Travis M. Putnam

Bridgewater -- Travis Michael Putnam, 26, of Bridgewater, died unexpectedly in Florence, Vt., on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007.

New London -- Thais Traver DeChant, 69, a resident of New London for more than 20 years, died at her home on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007.

Enfield -- Nancy R. Racicot, 72, a longtime area resident, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at Alice Peck Day Extended Care Facility in Lebanon.

Raymond C. Sears Jr.

Holly Hill, Fla. -- Raymond C. Sears Jr., 89, who built Chieftain Motel in Hanover and resided for 32 years in the Upper Valley, died at his home on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, after a brief illness.

Milford, Mass. -- Grace Louise (Hunt) Waldron, 81, who spent her early years in White River Junction, died on Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at her home.

Somersworth, N.H. -- Lorraine Marie (Fournier) Downing, 61, a native of Claremont, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at her home after a seven-year fight with breast cancer.

Hartford -- Richard W. Lawrence, 79, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at the Alice Peck Day Extend Care Unit.

Olive V. Saboski

White River Junction --Olive V. Saboski, 90, an Upper Valley resident for 75 years, died at Brookside Nursing Home in White River Junction on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, after a long illness.

Elizabeth R. Travis

Unity -- Elizabeth Rita Travis, 75, a retired registered nurse, died yesterday, Dec. 13, 2007 at Sullivan County Health Care, where she worked for more than 20 years.
