Communicating With Doctors Is Focus of Workshop, Panel
Woodstock — A free workshop and panel discussion about communicating with doctors is set for Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Norman Williams Public Library.
The two-hour workshop is designed to help patients “begin the conversations essential to shared healthcare decision-making,” organizers said in a news release. “The more serious our medical condition is, the more critical this dialogue becomes in planning our care.”
Psychologist Bernie Bandman and communications expert Celia Engel Bandman will speak at the event. The panelists will include Judith Hills, physician; Maggie Moore, nurse practitioner; Rabbi Dov Taylor; and Nancy Pessia, social worker. The workshop is supported by a grant from the Ottauquechee Health Foundation.
