Davenport “Dave” Cleveland

Woodstock, Vt. — Davenport “Dave” Cleveland, 91, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014, after a long battle with prostate Cancer.

Dave served in the U.S. Eighth Air Force, 492nd Bombardment Group, Carpetbaggers. He was the former owner of The Pomfret Shop, a unique store specializing in hand crafts and garden ornaments.

Survivors are Gladie, his wife of 63 years; and his daughters, Laura Cleveland of Reston, Va. and Julie Cleveland and her husband, Bobby Gallway of Los Angeles, Calif.

A graveside service will be held Monday, May 19 at 9 a.m. at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center. Please, no flowers.
