Wedding: Sweeney — Seely
Bridgewater — Shannon Marie Sweeney and Tyson Robert Seely were married on Sept. 28, 2013.
Benjamin Judy, an uncle of the bridegroom, presided over a garden ceremony, which took place at the Woodstock home of the bridegroom’s great-aunt Gertrude Goff.
The couple entered the ceremony together and danced toward center stage, where they exchanged personalized vows.
Members of the wedding party included the bridegroom’s siblings, Evan Seely, of Arlington, Va., and Logan Seely, of Portsmouth, N.H. They served as best man and bridesmaid, respectfully.
A reception followed the ceremony, just a short walk up the hill, where the couple, their friends and more than 80 family members danced to live music well into the night. All enjoyed perfect Vermont foliage and weather conditions throughout the wedding weekend.
The bride is the daughter of Kathleen Johnson and Keith Sweeney, of Hartford, Conn. She graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn., in 2003 and earned a bachelor’s degree in geography and geology from Colgate University in 2007.
She received a master’s degree in public health from the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice in 2009. She is pursuing a doctorate degree at Rutgers University, where she is also an instructor and a research assistant at the Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center.
The bridegroom is the son of Bruce and Meg Seely, of Bridgewater, and the grandson of Harriet F. Judy, of West Windsor. He graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 2003 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University in 2007.
He received a master’s degree in business administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 2013 and is employed as a financial analyst at Pinnacle Foods in Parsippany, N.J.
