Barbara Ann Bradley
Derry, N.H. — Barbara Ann Bradley, 72, of Derry, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, N.H., after an extended illness.
She was born in Windsor, Vt. on Dec. 12, 1941, to Romaine and Sophia (Laskevich) Trepanier and graduated from Windsor High School in 1959. She went to Boston for technical training with IBM and then secured a position with the company. After marriage, children and moving to Derry, her career turned to being an administrative assistant to various local businesses.
Anyone who was fortunate enough to have known Barbara immediately knew that she was an intensely caring and gentle woman. Her dedication to her family and its traditions was remarkable. She loved all kinds of sports and could always be found at her sons’ games, but no one came between her and her New England Patriots or her weekend NASCAR racing circuit. When she was not enjoying sports she loved to be by the ocean. Though her later years made this increasingly difficult, she continued to make regular visits to the coast of Maine where she found her spirits most alive. She could also be found enjoying a good book or knitting.
Barbara is survived by Alfred, her husband of 51 years, sons Keith Bradley of Derry, and Kurt Bradley of Seattle, Wash., as well as her sister, Mary Lee (Paul) Buff of Quechee, Vt. She is also survived by two nieces and a special nephew and other extended family and friends.
At Barbara’s request, no calling or funeral services are to be held. Her family is scheduling a Memorial Mass in her name at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, she wished for donations to be made in her name to Friends of Nubble, 186 York St., York, ME 03909.
