She was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Cambridge, Vt. the daughter of Daniel and Gertrude (Wagner) Randall. She attended school in Marshfield, Vt. and later Bradford, Vt. where she graduated in 1946 from the Bradford Academy. On Dec. 24, 1945, she married Melvin “Carpy” Carpenter of …
