Claremont — Stevens High senior Chase Hussey believes his role as a closer for the Lebanon Post 22 American Legion baseball team last summer was a major factor in his climb through 55 bowlers to win the state championship in the NHIAA individual competition on Saturday at Spare Time Lanes in Manchester. “It definitely was a factor,” the 17-year-old said. “Last year, I saw a lot of tense moments as a closer for the Legion team, so I felt pretty relaxed.
