Sunapee Resident David Trueblood Named Vice President of Communications and Marketing at New Hampshire Charitable Foundation

Concord — The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation has named David E. Trueblood, of Sunapee, as its vice president of communications and marketing. In this role, he will be responsible for the public profile of the foundation and for raising public awareness and understanding of its work.

Trueblood is a former director of public relations for The Boston Foundation, a community foundation serving the Greater Boston area. He later served as vice president for the Center for Effective Philanthropy, a national organization that works to increase the impact of foundations. He is a former journalist and was managing editor of the Community Newspaper Co., which published almost 100 newspapers and specialty publications in eastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod. The company is now part of Gatehouse Media, a national group.

Trueblood holds a master’s degree in history from Harvard University and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.

The Concord-based New Hampshire Charitable Foundation manages a collection of charitable funds created by individuals, families and corporations. It serves communities throughout New Hampshire, southeastern Maine and eastern Vermont and makes grants and student aid awards annually totaling $30 million.
