Springfield, Vt. — Arlene Dzewaltowski, 79, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 18, 2014, at the Springfield Hospital in Springfield. She was born May 24, 1935 in Springfield, Vt. the daughter of Wallace V. and Mary M. ( Klementowicz ) Lovell. She attended Springfield Schools and graduated from Springfield High School class of 1953.
On Dec. 31, 1955, she married John J. Dzewaltowski in Springfield. He predeceased her on March 28, 2003.
She was employed as an Administrative Assistant at the Jones & Lamson Machine Tool Co. in Springfield, Johnson & Dix Fuel Co. in Springfield and the Connecticut Valley Health Compact also in Springfield.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a member of the Robert L. Johnson V.F.W. Post 771 Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a Brownie Leader, enjoyed going to yard sales, art shows and collecting vintage clothing.
She is survived by: three daughters, Margaret deLacoste of Springfield, Theresa Ambrose of Springfield, and Ann Pushee of Haverhill, N.H.; one son, Peter Dzewaltowski of Glendale, Calif.; one sister, Gloria Landman of Glendale, Calif.; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and also by one brother Wallace Lovell Jr.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Springfield. Reverend Peter Williams pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Springfield.
