White River Access May Increase in Royalton, Bethel

Residents of Royalton and Bethel might soon have better public access to the White River and one of its tributaries. Both towns are working with the nonprofit White River Partnership to convert properties along the White River and Gilead Brook into public parks and river access points. Three parks in Bethel totaling 10.1 acres and two parks totaling 8.6 acres in Royalton are part of a five-town, eight-park river access improvement initiative. One park each is also being prosed in Rochester, Granville and Pittsford, Vt.
