Cocoa, Fla. — Tyler Long of Cocoa, formerly of South Royalton, Vt. passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013.
Tyler will be greatly missed by his beloved son, Trevor J. Long of East Randolph, Vt.; his life’s partner, Christina Ballou and their dog, Mercy of Cocoa; his mother and step-father, Frances and Daniel Kelley of Saugus, Mass.; his sister, Christine Reed, her partner, Steve Voulo; nieces, Calen and Lydia Reed of Northfield, Vt., Carol GG of Winthrop, Mass. and Joan and Bob Ballou of Cocoa and family, Tia, several aunts, uncles and cousins and his many friends. Tyler’s father, Duane Long of Tunbridge, Vt., predeceased him.
Tyler was born in Sharon, Conn. Nov. 12, 1968. He moved to Tunbridge, Vt. at the age of four, attend school there and later graduated from South Royalton High. He worked as a roofer and drywaller. Tyler enjoyed hunting, fishing, concerts, riding motorcycles, refinishing furniture and flower gardening. He made fabulous flower boxes wherever he lived. Tyler was always willing to help people whenever he was able and was a good and loyal friend to many.
In the spring, there will be a memorial service when Tyler’s ashes will be dispersed over beautiful Vermont which he considered his home and where he wanted to be.
