VTC Nursing Program Graduates 141 Students

Randolph — Vermont Tech graduated 141 students from its practical nursing program earlier this month. The ceremony for the college’s regional campuses and six nursing sites took place at the its Randolph Center campus. The guest speaker was Steven Thomas, who holds an associate degree in nursing from Vermont Tech and a master’s degree in nursing from Walden University.

“The foundation of knowledge you just acquired is so strong, it will serve as the launching pad for the rest of your nursing education journey,” said Thomas, a unit nurse manager at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. “Notice I said ‘nursing education journey.’ I call it a journey because as a nurse, you never stop learning.”

This fall, the college will launch a new online registered nurse to bachelor’s degree in nursing program. — Staff report
