West Canaan — Andrew Cashe set the tone from the opening kickoff for the Mascoma football team, returning the kick for a touchdown to help the Royals beat visitng Franklin 38-18 on Saturday afternoon. Cashe didn’t stop there in a performance that left the Golden Tornadoes gasping all day. The senior ran for 180 yards on 24 carries with two touchdowns on the ground. Cashe also caught a touchdown pass and threw for a score to Garrett Williams. Not to be undone on the defensive end, he added two interceptions.
