Woodstock High Hosting 3-on-3 Tourney
Woodstock — Woodstock Union High athletic director and boys basketball coach Jeff Thomas is welcoming adults and players in grades 7-12 to open their seasons with a three-on-three tournament at the high school on Nov. 14.
Youths will start in their own bracket, but may end up playing an adult team as the double-elimination tournament progresses.
The tournament comes with a cost of $15 per team. Games will be five minutes in length, played half-court. Fouls will result in free throws for shooting calls and possession for nonshooting situations. Tied games will go to a one-minute overtime, with a free-throw tiebreaker if still deadlocked. All games will also be officiated by a coach.
Proceeds from the tournament will help support the Woodstock boys basketball program this winter. Contact Thomas at 802-475-1317, ext. 8 or email@example.com for more information.
