Mascoma River Summit Is April 5 At the Cardigan Mountain School
Canaan — A summit to bring together organizations located in the Mascoma River watershed will take place April 5, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at Cardigan Mountain School.
The free event, which includes lunch, will be hosted by the Mascoma River Local Advisory Committee. The committee is authorized by state law to advise on the management and protection of the river.
The summit is designed to foster communication and collaboration among community groups, nonprofits, and municipal boards and commissions in the watershed, which includes Canaan, Dorchester, Enfield, Grafton, Hanover, Lebanon, Lyme, Plainfield and Orange.
Members of groups working on environmental protection, outdoor recreation, and local community and culture in those municipalities are encouraged to attend.
The summit will include time to share information about projects they are working on, and discussions about how they can work together and build on each other’s successes, organizers said in a recent news release.
For more information, or to RSVP, contact the event coordinator, Rachel Ruppel, at Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission, firstname.lastname@example.org or 603-448-1680.
