Letter: Mascoma High Needs Updating
To the Editor:
As a 1970 graduate of Mascoma Valley Regional High School, I vividly remember when the high school was built. During the construction, I was in sixth grade and could hardly wait to enter the new school.
More importantly, I recall my parents’ pride in supporting the construction of a new school for our community. We enthusiastically followed each phase of the building process, often visiting the site on a Sunday afternoon. The school has served us well, but it is a building that no longer meets the educational challenges of the 21st century. Please support the renovation of Mascoma High School at the polls on March 12. Let’s send the message to the students of our community that we are proud of them and that they are deserving of an updated, functional high school.
