Letter: Only 23 Days Left

To the Editor:

National Novel Writing Month, aka NaNoWriMo (http://nanowrimo.org/) is upon us. The challenge: Write a novel ... in a month.

Have you got a novel you’re just itching to write? We’d be honored if you’d write it at the Norwich Public Library. Come by and grab a book on the craft of writing from our NaNoWriMo display. Find a comfy chair, a well-lit window seat, or a spacious table, where you can dream up characters and devise that intriguing plot twist. Try typing a few pages on the typewriters that will be stationed at writing areas around the library.

Need some solidarity? Join fellow novelists for drop-in writing gatherings at the library. You’ll have the chance to pound out some chapters of your story in the company of other writers, while enjoying refreshments, hot beverages and inspiration provided by the library.

We’ll have two write-ins during NaNoWriMo: Start Your Novel Right, from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and Write On! on Monday, Nov. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m.

For more information, visit www.norwichlibrary.org or call 802-649-1184. Maybe the novel you create at the library will be on our shelves one day.
