Jack F. Roche

Newport, N.H. — Jack F. Roche, 65, died peacefully Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at his home with Don & Patti Goulette by his side. He was born in Lebanon on April 30, 1948, to the late John & Marion (Burke) Roche.

Jack grew up in Lebanon and attended the Upper Valley Training Center. He became very involved with both his community and Special Olympics where he earned many medals.

Jack spent a lot of time with his father and often would travel with his father in the ambulance while he was working. He also spent a lot of time with his mother walking around town.

Jack had been employed by Kentucky Fried Chicken, the Hanover CO-OP, The Valley News and SEVCA. During the past few years he has been a part of the Adult Day Out program in Claremont where he has made many new friends.

Jack enjoyed socializing, drinking coffee, playing bingo, doing puzzles. He also enjoyed his collection of older music that he enjoyed listing to.

Jack is survived by his many friends from Pathways of the River Valley and the extended family of Don & Patti Goulette.

Family and friends are invited to a calling hour at the First Baptist Church of Newport on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, beginning at 10 a.m. A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. and burial will follow in the Valley Cemetery in Lebanon at 2 p.m.
