Hollis-Brookline 41 Hanover 38

Hanover — Despite getting 10 of John Flory’s game-high 25 points in the fourth quarter, the Marauders (0-1) dropped their season-opener to the Cavaliers on Saturday.

Hollis-Brookline (1-0) held Hanover without a field goal in the third quarter and limited the hosts to just five free throws in turning a 21-12 halftime deficit into a 27-26 lead entering the fourth period.

Rocco Linehan backed up Flory with six points for Hanover, which visits Goffstown on Tuesday.
