Norman E. Aldrich
Newbury, Vt. — Norman E. Aldrich, 85, of Snake Road in Newbury died Monday, July 8, 2013, at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, N.H.
He was born in Lyman, N.H. on Oct. 14, 1927, the son of Harry and Maude (Haynes) Aldrich. He had lived in Bath, N.H. before moving to Newbury 25 years ago. Norman was married for 61 years to Roselie Emerson Aldrich who survives.
He had been employed for 18 years at the Lincoln Paper Mill in Lincoln, N.H., and also worked for 16 years at New England Wire Mill in Lisbon, N.H.
Norman enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and his dog.
He is survived by his wife, Roselie Aldrich, of Newbury; one daughter, Deborah Lees, of Swiftwater, N.H.; three sons, Clifton, of Haverhill, N.H., John and wife, Linda, of Bath, N.H. and Virgil, of Newbury; four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle Flanders, of Barre, Vt.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Francis and Lloyd Aldrich; and two sisters, Velma Mackey and Evelyn Welch; and one son-in law, John Lees.
Mr. Aldrich requested that there be no funeral services.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Orange East Senior Center, Bradford, Vt.
