Stanley H. “Shorty” Wilmot

Piermont, N.H. — Stanley H. “Shorty” Wilmot, 84, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at his home in Piermont.

He was born in Lyme, N.H., March 7, 1930, a son of Irvin and Lillian (Sayre) Wilmot and worked as a mechanic for many years at Huggett’s Garage in Thetford, Vt.

He was predeceased by his parents and siblings Elizabeth Strout, Irene Prior, Marion Greenwood, Dorothy Murphy, and Irvin Wilmot.

Survivors include two sisters, Addie George of Corinth, Vt., and Lillian Richard of Lebanon, N.H.; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be on Sunday, June 22 at 3:30 p.m. in the Highland Cemetery, Lyme. A celebration of his life will begin at 4 p.m. at the Lyme Congregational Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 or to a charity of one’s choice.
