Lineman for the County

On a gray day yesterday, Liberty Utilities lineman Bill Ellis completes work on a new 45-foot telephone pole along Rte. 12A in West Lebanon. The company has put up three new poles along the road. The old poles were about five feet shorter and were put up in the mid 1930’s. Wearing rubber gloves, workers were able to move lines to the new pole without turning the power off; the lines carry 7,600 volts. (Valley News - Jennifer Hauck)
